In the week commencing Birmingham Pride 2023, we released 'Our LGBTQ+ Promise' - our commitment to creating a safe environment where discriminatory behaviour is challenged, and everyone feels they belong. We pledge to:

• Welcome LGBTQ+ people into our services
• Challenge discriminatory behaviour and have a clear policy to address LGBTQ+ harassment, homophobia and transphobia
• Not make assumptions and we will respect people’s sexual orientation or gender identity
• Promote positive language that is respectful and inclusive
• Our Complaints Policy ensures that we treat people’s concerns about language and attitudes seriously
• Encourage customer representation from the LGBTQ+ community in the delivery of our services
