Black Country Housing Group’s in-house repairs team Homeforce has been awarded the HQN Accredit DLO/Contractor accreditation.

The HQN Accredit: DLO/Contractor award is the UK’s first and only accreditation scheme specifically designed for direct labour organisations. Accreditation lasts for three years and consists of annual assessments.

The accreditation involved a comprehensive scrutiny and evaluation process, looking at various factors such as customer service, performance management, training, health and safety and value for money. As part of the assessment, HQN also met with a group of BCHG residents to rate the service they receive from us.

This HQN award demonstrates our ongoing commitment of not only consistently delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance service excellence but also a great customer experience. The Homeforce team’s efforts have also contributed to BCHG meeting 100% of the Decent Homes Standard for all of our qualifying properties.

"I was particularly impressed with the good value for money the organisation is providing to its tenants, and the extensive investment in IT undertaken as part of a decision to in-source the service."

Kevin Bentley, Lead Assessor, HQN
