Apply for housing
To see which properties are on our waiting lists and to see if you are eligible to go onto our waiting lists, you will need to complete our online eligibility form.
If you are eligible, you will then be asked to complete our Housing Application Form online.
You must also send us a reference from your most recent landlord to us once you have submitted your application. Once we receive your reference, we will then consider your application and confirm whether or not you have been placed on our list.
To increase your chances of finding a home, you should register with your local council too.
We aim to help you find suitable housing however in the following circumstances we would not be able to provide housing:
- Applicants without indefinite leave to remain in the UK;
- We are advised that there has been previous anti-social behaviour or breach of tenancy conditions with any landlord;
- Any applicant who demonstrate that they are not willing to co-operate with the Group.
How we allocate our properties
We want to make sure that we make the best use of all our properties and let them to those who need them most in an equal and fair manner, we use a points based system which takes into account your circumstances and housing situation.
Each of these are grouped into bands with different priorities. Read more about the bands and points, here: BCHG Points and Bands System.
About our properties
Read Our Standards for Your Home about the condition in which you expect to find your home when you let from us.
