What is the Leasehold Property Enquiry Form and how do I get it?
On a resale of your Shared Ownership property, you or your solicitors will need some information concerning the property, the service charges, the ground rent, major works and other matters. This information is provided to potential buyer before contracts are exchanged. The information is included in a questionnaire called a Leasehold Property Enquiry Pack (LPE1). This is also referred to as a Management Pack, or a Resale Pack.
Your solicitor will normally make the request on your behalf in writing to us. There is a fee payable for this. In some instances your solicitor might request more information over and above our standard pack and additional fees will be payable for this.
Following completion, the buyer would also need to serve certain notices to us such as a ‘Deed of Covenant’ and ‘Compliance certificate’. Details of the cost for doing so and where to send the notices are also included in the pack of information we send to your solicitor.
