Shared Ownership Homes
If you want to buy a home but can’t afford to buy outright, then Shared Ownership might be for you. Often called “part buy – part rent”, shared ownership is where you buy a share in a property and pay rent on the share that you don’t own. The combined mortgage and rent payments often work out cheaper than mortgage payments for the whole of a property.

Swap your home
We understand that your circumstances can change and you may need to move into a bigger home or downsize into a smaller one. At Black Country Housing Group, we offer two ways in which you can swap your home:
- Exchange with another Black Country Housing Group resident
- Exchange with a non Black Country Housing Group resident – In this case, the landlord of the other resident must agree to the exchange too
In both cases, you must register via Homeswapper. For more information on Homeswapper, visit: Homeswapper
